Inscribed and signed, with two seals of the artist Dated second month, jiyou year (1969) Dedicated to Jilian NOTE: The recipient of the painting is Wong Ki-lim, who worked for the Hong Kong government and as the editor for Huaqiao Daily Post. He was friends with Lingnan School artists and aided Zhao Shao’ang during his exhibitions in Singapore and Malaysia, and eventually amassed a fine collection of the artist’s works.
