ERICH HECKEL (1883-1970) Weisse Pferde woodcut printed from two blocks in black, green, powder blue and dark blue, 1912, on Zanders laid paper, watermark Rampant Lion and pendant initials JWZ, signed and dated in pencil, a very good impression of the fourth, final state, printing with loosely and transparently applied colours, probably from the edition of approximately eighty unnumbered impressions, published by I. B. Neumann, Berlin, with wide margins, the colours fresh and bright, in good condition Block 320 x 310 mm., Sheet 393 x 405 mm.
