HOWARD HODGKIN (1932-2017) Venice, Afternoon, from: Venetian Views lift-ground etching and aquatint with carborundum in colours, with extensive hand-colouring, 1995, on 16 sheets of Arches wove paper, one sheet initialled, dated 1996, and inscribed PP 2/5, a printer's proof aside from the edition of sixty (there were also 14 artist's proofs), published by Alan Cristea Gallery, London, printed and hand-coloured by Jack Shirreff at the 107 Workshop Images & Sheets 400 x 490 mm. (each) Overall 1600 x 1965 mm.
