Rembrandt Harmensz. van Rijn (1606-1669) The Artist's Mother with her Hands on her Chest: small Bust (Bartsch, Hollstein 349; H. 50) etching, 1631, on modern laid paper, a late impression, with margins on three sides, trimmed to the plate mark lower sheet edge; with The Angel appearing to the Shepherd (B., Holl. 44; H. 120) by the same hand, etching with drypoint and engraving, 1634, on laid paper, with a proprietary watermark (Ash & Fletcher Misc. late f.b), a later impression of third, final state, with 2-4 mm. margins, a small repaired rustmark to the left of the angel's cloak, pale time staining at the sheet edges, pale staining and foxing verso, otherwise in good conditio; both framed P. 93 x 66 mm., S. 96 x 74 mm.
