Max Ernst (1891-1976) Tête Modern Art (P.H. 1773) stamped with the artist's signature, the François and Pierre Hugo reference number and numbered 'max ernst 6/8 1692 1773' and stamped with the goldsmith's mark and the French assay mark (on the reverse) gold medallion 2 ½ x 2 7/8 in. (6.4 x 7.3 cm.) Executed in August 1974 in gold, in a numbered edition of eight plus two exemplaire d'artiste and two exemplaire d'auteur; with the wooden case
