Henry Moore, O.M., C.H. (1898-1986) Statues and Draped Figures signed 'Moore' (centre right), signed again 'Moore' (lower right), inscribed 'So here I stand fashioning creatures like to myself, A race in my own image, to suffer, weep, enjoy/pleasure & joy & like myself to hold you in scorn' (at the upper edge) and inscribed again 'THREE DRAPED FIGURES' (centre left) pencil, wax crayon, coloured crayon, watercolour and gouache 11 3/8 x 9¼ in. (28.8 x 23.5 cm.) Executed in 1949-50.
