Albrecht Dürer Saint Jerome in Penitence (B. 61; M., Holl. 57; S.M.S. 6) engraving, circa 1496, watermark Gothic P with Flower (M. 321), a very good, rich and black Meder b impression, printing with clarity and depth, trimmed to or just inside the subject, a repaired paper loss at upper right corner, the upper sheet edge largely made up, a small paper loss in the rocks at centre right, some thin spots and some minor staining and foxing S. 315 x 226 mm.
