Karl Schmidt-Rottluff (1884-1976) Russischer Wald (Schapire 229) woodcut, 1918, on wove paper, signed in pencil, unnumbered (as issued), from the edition of 100, (there were also 25 impressions on Japan paper), published in the portfolio Die Schaffenden (no.2), 1921, an unobtrusive vertical crease running 124 mm. into the image with resultant ink loss, creasing in the upper and lower margin, minor surface dirt at the extreme edges of the sheet B. 200 x 260 mm., S. 312 x 340 mm.
