MARY CASSATT Reading the Newspaper (No. 1) (B. 72) etching, circa 1882, on laid paper with partial Arches watermark, Breeskin's second (final) state, signed in pencil, with margins, surface soiling, handling creases throughout (heavier in places), slight rippling, pinholes in the margin corners (1-in. from the image edge), a few moisture stains in the margins, a minute stain in the lower left margin, hinge and glue remains at the reverse of the upper margin corners (associated skinning and losses), otherwise in good condition P. 5½ x 8¾ in.
