Max Ernst (1891-1976) Poissons (P.H. 1742) stamped with the artist's signature, the François and Pierre Hugo reference number and numbered 'max ernst 6/6 1348 1742' and stamped with the goldsmith's mark and the French assay mark (on the reverse) gold medallion 6 ¾ x 4 7/8 in. (17.2 x 12.4 cm.) Executed in August 1971 in gold, in a numbered edition of six plus two exemplaire d'artiste and two exemplaire d'auteur; with the wooden case
