NOTE:
On one occasion, Mrs Hsu, the wife of Hsu Chi Liang (1901-1993), accompanied Pu Ru to visit Po Lin Monastery with other friends. This painting was done to commemorate the trip. The Hsus were neighbours of the Chang family. A calligraphic couplet by Pu Ru was dedicated to Hsu in this sale (Lot 1672).
