Chung Chia Tee is a student of one of the famous photographers Wang Chi Yi who travelled to Brazil at the invitation of Zhang Daqian in 1956 and then moved there. In 1960, he founded the "Brazil Overseas Chinese Newspaper". Wang Chi Yi and Chung Chia Tee took photos for Zhang Daqian's "Bade Garden" in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Chung Chia Tee once opened a Chinese restaurant in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and Zhang Daqian often visited and gave advice on culinary. The two have a deep friendship.According to the memory of the descendants of the collector, Chung Chia Tee himself accompanied Zhang Daqian on a short-term tour in Hualien, Taiwan, in 1974. On the way, Mr Chung mentioned to Mr Zhang that his wife's birthday was approaching. Zhang Daqian ordered someone to fetch a pen and paper when he returned to the hotel to create this work—presented as a birthday present for Chung's wife. Since the artist did not bring a seal during the trip, there is no seal on this work.
