James Abbott McNeill Whistler Nocturne Furnace, from: The Second Venice Set (K. 213) etching with drypoint, 1879-80, on thin 19th century laid paper, signed with the butterfly and inscribed imp in pencil on the tab, a fine impression of the sixth state (of seven), with carefully wiped tone for atmospheric effect, trimmed to the plate mark (as issued), a tiny nick at the lower edge, otherwise in very good condition P., S. 167 x 230 mm.
