both signed with a fly (lower right), the first signed again, inscribed and dated '"Oh Mr Taylor", sighed Miss Carter (who wore Pink)/"How you startled one", and she turned her/eyes down and fluttered so much that/Mr Taylor (the Bank Manager) was about to take/her hand - but just then the Aunts,/Grandma, Mother, George and I came along/the path in the Park - and the year/was 1906/Helen Layfield Bradley 1971.' (on the artist's label attached to the reverse); the second signed again, inscribed and dated '"Goodness, cried Aunt Frances,/"I do believe Mr Taylor's about to/propose to Miss Carter", and we all/stopped and watched with bated breath,/but, he heard Aunt Frances exclaim,/and turned to welcome her, but when/he saw Aunt Charlotte with her golden/curls and looking very pretty, he held/her hand longer than usual and the/year was 1906/Helen Layfield Bradley 1971' (on the artist's label attached to the reverse)
