MARY CASSATT Meditation: two states (B. 67) soft-ground etching and aquatints, 1882, both on wove paper, both rich, experimental impressions, Breeskin's first and second (final) states, both with margins (slightly uneven), both with a few areas of pale staining, minor surface soiling and scattered foxing, both with occasional handling creases, a few minute pressure marks in the margins, staining and surface soiling on the reverse, (first state) with a minute green spot near the nose, a pair of vertical creases at the lower plate edge (with associated rubbing and ink loss), otherwise both in good condition both P. 3 3/8 x 5 in.
