FRANCISCO DE GOYA Y LUCIENTES (1746-1828) Los Caprichos the complete set of eighty etchings with burnished aquatint, drypoint and engraving, 1797-98, on laid paper, without watermark, a very good set from the First Edition, published by the artist, Madrid, 1799, in an edition of approximately three hundred copies, very good impressions, printing with great contrasts and bright highlights, with the scratch on plate 45, with wide margins, the sheets loose, in a modern dark green calf and linen box, with the artist's embossed signature on the front and artist’s name and title in gilt on the spine, within a matching green linen-covered case, with the artist’s name and title in gilt on a black Morocco label on the spine, generally in very good condition Plate 215 x 150 mm.
