Bernard Buffet (1928-1999) Le regard signed 'Bernard Buffet' (lower right) and dedicated 'A Jean Marie' (lower centre) acrylic on silk taffeta 101¼ x 300¾ in. (257 x 764 cm.) Executed in 1967, this work was the stage curtain from the famous Paris orchestral cabaret club L'Alcazar, which was opened by Jean-Marie Rivière in 1968.
