Rembrandt Harmensz. van Rijn Landscape with a Haybarn and a Flock of Sheep (B., Holl. 224; H. 241) etching with drypoint, 1652, second, final state, a very good impression of this rare landscape, with touches of burr throughout, the vertical wiping scratches in the sky clearly visible, on fine laid paper with watermark initials IR (possibly part of a Posthorn watermark, cf. Hinterding Aa), with thread margins below, skilfully remargined elsewhere, a short, skilfully repaired tear at the upper left, some pale discoloration P. 80 x 175 mm., S. 83 x 176 mm.
