Albrecht Dürer Erasmus of Rotterdam (B. 107; M., Holl. 105; S.M.S. 102) engraving, 1526, watermark Fleur-de-Lys in a Crowned Shield with pendant Initial B (M. 314; Briquet 8287), a good Meder d impression, trimmed inside the platemark but retaining a fillet of blank paper outside the subject, a horizontal crease in the lower half of the sheet, minor defects on the reverse where previously mounted, generally in good condition S. 247 x 194mm.
