Emil Nolde (1867-1956) Der Maler (Selbstbildnis) (Schiefler & Mosel 6 III) etching printed in dark brown, 1905/06, on stiff Van Gelder laid paper, signed in pencil, a good, tonal impression of the third, final state, probably one of approximately twenty proof impressions (there was also an edition of twenty numbered impressions of the final state), probably titled by Ada Nolde, printed and signed by O. Felsing, Berlin, the full sheet, the paper stained and foxed P. 177 x 129 mm., S. 540 x 380 mm.
