David Jones (1895-1974) Nativity with Beasts and Shepherds (Dum Medium Silentium Tenerent Omnia) (Cleverdon E198) drypoint, 1928, on wove paper, signed and dated in pencil, inscribed 'Sunday within the octave of Xmas (Introit) DavidJ 28', from an edition of circa 20 given to the artist's friends, with margins, light- and mount-staining, darkening to sheet edges, minor paper discolouration to upper sheet edges from tape on reverse, backboard staining, otherwise in generally good condition P. 177 x 137 mm., S. 212 x 167 mm.
