Niki de Saint Phalle (1930-2002) Coeur de Lion signed and dated 'Niki de Saint Phalle Dec. 63' (on the reverse) painted papier mâché construction with painted plastic, wire, rope, plastic figurines, and paper mounted on painted panel 22¾ x 27½ x 7½ in. (57.7 x 69.8 x 19 cm.) Executed in 1963.
