David Hockney (b. 1937) Cleanliness is next to Godliness (S.A.C. 39; Tokyo 39) screenprint in colours, from photographic and handcut stencils, 1965, on cartridge paper, signed and dated in pencil, numbered 4/40 (there were also 15 artist's proofs), published by the Institute of Contemporary Arts and printed by Kelpra Studio, London, with their lilac stamp recto, the full sheet, a few retouched abrasions on the image, laid down on Japan paper S. 910 x 590 mm.
