engraving with watercolour and bodycolour heightened with gold, 1512, trimmed to the subject and mounted on vellum, exquisitely handcoloured by Georg Mack around 1588 and initialled GM in gilt, the vellum border recto decorated with a scroll of tiger lillies and blue flowers above, and a bird and a grasshopper, verso with a German manuscript text in brown ink and gilt relating to the Suffering of Christ, the border decorated with a scroll of red and pink carnations, a different flower above, a pheasant, an ant, a snail and a quail, a brown stain at the lower sheet edge, otherwise in very good condition
