Ben Nicholson (1894-1982) Abstract with red circle (Lewison 15) linocut with hand-colouring in gouache, 1937-38, on Japan paper, a extremely rare impression of Lewison's second, final state, signed and dated '1937' in pencil (there is also a third unrecorded state), with the dedication 'for Eduardo Westerdahl', from the unknown edition size, the full sheet, light and time staining, a repaired 15mm. tear at the upper right corner, a repaired 5 mm. patch to the lower left corner and other minor defects, otherwise in very good condition, framed I. 134 x 182 mm., S. 187 x 233 mm.
