(1894-1982) 1978 (still life with blue + stripes) signed, inscribed and dated 'Nicholson still life with blue + stripes -78' (on the reverse of the sheet) pencil, oil wash, gouache and ink on paper, shaped, on the artist's prepared board 13 5⁄8 x 11 ½ in. (34.6 x 29.3 cm.) Executed in 1978.
